OUTDATED EDUCATION SYSTEM IN INDIA
PROBLEM OF INDIAN EDUCATION SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION
The fate of a nation is a mirror of the potential of its future generations. Such future generations are tuned by the nation's effective education system. Can a nation with 1.4 billion people and possessing the highest number of youth in the world can function with an outdated and visionless education system? Is it fair? Let's discuss some of the key features of the Indian education system which makes it not even comparable with the systems in developed countries.
LACK OF PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE
Our system is mainly concentrated in making the students remember all the formulas and theories which is not as much important as the practical and application knowledge. Proper industrial connection, deep understanding of the applications should be taken utmost care. The current system makes the students graduates in paper which results in unemployment at its peak.
SPORTS TAKING THE LAST SEAT
A Nation with 1.4 billion hardworking souls is struggling for each and every Olympic medal...How does this sounds? Some countries which is smaller than most of the states in India are winning more medals than India. The root cause of this issue goes back to reluctance of sports in school education levels. If a student is interested in sports his family, teachers, society starts portraying him as a dull and unsuccessful student. It implies that education deals only with academics nor with co curricular and sports activities.
COMPETITIVE MINDSET AMONG STUDENTS
The ultimate aim of the education is to develop a moral valued society. But at some point, our system failed to keep up this moral values. Competitive mindset is necessary among students but due to the growing mindset of students to see their classmates as competitors we failed to inculcate team work, harmony, friendship and gratitude within the student community.
LACK OF TRADITIONAL&CULTURAL SUBJECTS IN SYLLABUS
India with a rich history, culture and traditions should insist their culture within students. Study of archaeology, art forms, traditional building techniques and yoga must be taught to the students which should not insist any particular religion. Ayurvedha an Siddha medical systems must be lifted to high standards. The students must compulsorily have some knowledge about their roots.
CONCLUSION
The above discussed are only the tip of the iceberg. There are a lot of scopes to be improved in our education system. I hope as a responsible current youth generation, things will change as soon as possible in our country. Jai Hind!!!
